BidBud

Pay per finished bid. Never a cut of what you win.

Our agents prepare the bid, a person clears every problem the agents flagged in review, and you sign it. That signature is what you pay for. A run you never sign costs nothing, and there is no monthly fee.

Bid prep, per finished bid, public or private
$250per finished bid

A flat fee for one bid signed by you: a public bid prepared end to end by the agents, or an invitation from a general contractor's bid list, briefed from the documents you upload and priced with its chance to be low. The same $250 whether you win or lose. Never a percentage of award.

  • Fit check against your trades, territory and bonding
  • Bid brief with page citations: scope, dates, bonds, insurance, wage rates
  • Likely bidders from the public record
  • A price and its chance to be low, tuned to your history
  • State bid forms filled where we have the template, the rest flagged
  • A BidBud reviewer answers every problem the agents flagged (fixed, accepted with a reason, or passed to you by name) before you can approve the price
  • You review, sign and submit. Always.

When you are charged

Only at the last step, and only if you take it.

  1. Step 1

    Agents run the bid

Scout, reader, field analyst, pricer, forms clerk and reviewer work through the bid book and build the packet.

    $0however many you run
  2. Step 2

    A person checks the packet

Every problem the agents flagged (the blocking ones and the ones to check) is resolved, notes read but not required, and the price and forms checked in the review queue before the price can be approved. That reviewer is a BidBud reviewer, unless your firm turns on self-review and clears its own packets; then BidBud reviewers do not see them.

$0send it back as often as you like
  3. Step 3

    You sign

You approve the price and sign. That signed packet is a finished bid, charged once.

New GC bid lists

Priced per placement, set with our design partners

The private line is sold as an outcome: the number of new GC bid lists your firm is on this quarter. The price per placement is being set with our first design partners, so we do not publish one yet.

What counts
A GC's first invitation to bid on a job
New to you
That GC has not invited your firm in the last 12 months
Ours to earn
It arrives within 90 days of BidBud's first contact with that GC
Then the bid
The invitation runs through the bid desk, $250 if you sign the bid

Finding GCs, the outreach drafts, capability sheets, prequalification forms and compliance checks are the work behind a placement. A BidBud reviewer and your owner approve every message and form, and nothing is sent automatically.

Pricing questions

What counts as a finished bid?
A bid packet your firm's owner signs on the AI desk. Runs that stop at review, that you send back, or that you never sign cost nothing. Signing is once per bid, so the same bid is never charged twice.
Why a flat fee instead of a percentage of what we win?
Success fees on public contracts run into contingent fee rules, and they would put us on the wrong side of your margin. You pay the same $250 whether the bid wins or not.
How do we pay?
Add a card through Stripe and each finished bid is charged when you sign it. Or choose a monthly invoice: one invoice for that month's finished bids, net 30, by ACH or check. Nothing is charged on a schedule.
What does the free trial include?
Fourteen days of the whole desk, no card needed. Your first finished bid in the trial is on us. Bids you sign after that are $250 each, billed once you add a card or choose invoices. If you do not continue, nothing is charged.
What does private bid-list work cost?
We charge per placement: a GC that has not invited your firm in the last 12 months sends its first invitation to bid, within 90 days of our first contact. That price is being set with our first design partners, so it is not on this page yet. When you sign a bid from one of those invitations, it is $250 like any finished bid. The private line is new.
Can we be a design partner?
If you are a commercial plumbing, HVAC or mechanical subcontractor that works for general contractors, start a free trial and tell us in your first message. Design partners help us set the placement price before anyone else pays it.
Is the price per user?
No, it is per firm. Bring your estimators and project managers onto the same account at no extra cost.
